Blurring Work Dairy

In this lesson i made an image bank on blurring which contained image that i found interesting which demonstrated blurring and then annotated them. Before i could go out and shoot blurring i have to change the shutter speed to a low number to get the blurring effect. I found blurring quite hard as sometime the whole object would turn into a blur which would not show any movement.

These are two of my photographs that i took to show blurring. In the first image i moved the camera which therefore was not as effect. This then made me realize  that i have to move the object like i did in my second image which had a better effect in showing movement in a photograph. This photograph also shows the speed of the movement due the long blurred lines coming from the shoes.

If i was to continue with blurring i would try and add more than one object in the image to make it more interesting for the audience.

This images shows blurring by the woman moving fast which allows the camera to capture the movement. It is shown through blurring as it is the only way we are able to see movement in a still image,

This image is also showing blurring by the car moving rapidly around the corner. The car is the only object that is blurred which shows that it is the only object that is moving.

This image is showing blurring by the lite up wheel spinning around in circles. The lights on the wheel almost make the wheel appear to be just spinning lights. The bright lights draws the audience to the wheel making it the central focal point.

Lastly this image is showing blurring in a different way . The background of the image is blurred and the car is focused,  this still make the car to appear as if it moving as the blurred background is representing the car passing it.

My definition of blurring is the way movement is shown within a still image.

Blurring

 Blurring in photography is a way of showing movement in a still image.

 Here are some examples of blurring in photography.

 All these images are examples of blurring photography due to movement of either the camera or the object. Blurred movement photographs are so different from ordinary photographs as they show movement that the eye can not but the camera can.





In this example you can see individual movements made by the couple who are dancing and the more recent the dace moves are the more focused they are compared to the first movements that they would have done.

In this image movement is being shown by the background being blurred and the bear being in focus. The more blurred the background is, it makes it clear that the movement being made is fast.

The sane technique has been used in this image as you can tell that the dog has wind blowing in its face due to the the blurred background which is representing the movement.
                                                                   

 In the the last two images it is the actual object that is blurred rather than the background which is just an alternative way of showing movement. For me these images are more of an action shot as you have been able to what the eye can not see.

In this example the objects are moving which are the people. The movement that is being showing is them swinging on the swing which the camera can only capture. I like this example as it is showing more than objects movement.

Overall all of these images are highly effective as they show something that can not be seen in real life.
