Definition of pattern

In this photograph the pattern is created by the continuous pointed roofs which are diagonally places in the photograph. This is a man made pattern as they have been placed in this fashion to create the continuity. 

This image is of three different colored round fruit which have been place diagonally. This creates a pattern as the rows of fruit have been repeated according their colors, this created as decorative pattern. This is also a man made pattern.

This image is showing a natural pattern as it occurs naturally along with nature. This pattern is the lines within the leaf as they are symmetrical on either side  which is being separated by the stem in the middle of the leaf.

This is another example of a natural pattern as it is on a giraffe which is obviously a natural element. This pattern is created by the patches of brown skin which are continuous throughout the whole photograph. However all of the brown patches are not the same shape or size.

My definition of pattern is something that is repeated
